Daniela Bernhardt
- Director of the Institute for Modern Psychotherapy in Berlin
- Couples Therapist and Licensed Psychotherapist
- Bestselling Author and Communication Trainer
Daniela Bernhardt first managed a practice for osteopathy and craniosacral therapy in 2002. Even then, she realized that the separation of body and mind, as practiced in conventional medicine since the 17th century, did not align with her patients’ needs. This realization led her to further her training as a hypnotherapist, couples therapist, and licensed psychotherapist, a holistic approach she continues to pursue today.
In 2013, she and her husband, Klaus Bernhardt, opened a psychotherapy practice in Berlin, which eventually evolved into the Institute for Modern Psychotherapy in 2017. With the support of an advisory board of psychotherapists, doctors, and neuroscientists, the Bernhardts developed a new form of psychotherapy, now internationally known as the Bernhardt Method.
In 2019, Daniela Bernhardt published her first book “Raus aus dem Beziehungs-Burnout” (Escaping Relationship Burnout). The title quickly became an Amazon #1 bestseller in the partnership category and has since been published in Korean as well. As an expert in mental health, she is a sought-after interviewee and has appeared in numerous TV and radio shows, as well as in various print and online magazines.
Today, Daniela Bernhardt primarily dedicates her time to researching new therapeutic methods and co-leading training programs for professionals in the field of psychotherapy with her husband.
